My name is Alysa. I’m a California girl living in Chattanooga, TN. I’m an introvert with a communications degree. I’m a designer in a house wrecked by two kids. I’m a bargain shopper who has a disease that keeps her from buying things. I’m a wife who can’t cook but can juggle two jobs, kids and now, a blog. I’m the Vice President of a national non-profit for photographers and cancer patients and survivors. And I’m a mom of one sassy, smart three-year-old and one sweet, cuddly baby who just got diagnosed with a rare brain condition, making me suddenly the mom of a special needs child. This blog is my attempt to reconcile all of that.
I hate finding beautiful things online to find out that they are ridiculously over-priced. Neither I, nor any of my friends, can afford many of the things we find on Pinterest, but I know that lack of resources doesn’t mean you should have to settle for ordinary. I promise never to link to items that I, in all my frugality, would find too expensive. We all deserve some pretty in our lives. Let me find some for you.
